Info Notice Regarding Visits on Friday, August 16th

Ghibli Museum, MITAKA will be open as scheduled on Friday, August 16th.
However, due to anticipated disruptions in public transportation caused by the approaching typhoon, visitors will be permitted to enter the museum at any time within the opening hours, regardless of the designated admission time on their reserved ticket, but only on Friday, August 16th. Please exercise full caution when traveling to the museum.
For visitors who wish to change their admission date due to transportation suspensions or other unforeseen reasons, we will offer a ticket date exchange option as detailed below. Please keep your unused reserved admission ticket safe and present it to the staff upon arrival on your new entry date.
Eligibility: Visitors holding unused reserved admission tickets for Friday, August 16th, 2024
Exchange Period: Visitors may use their unused August 16th tickets for admission on any open weekday until Thursday, October 31st, 2024. The new admission time must match the original designated admission time printed on the unused ticket.
*Please consult the museum's operating calendar for available opening days. Note that ticket exchanges will not be possible on Tuesday, October 1st, due to Neighboring Citizens' Day.
*For electronic tickets, please present the unused ticket screen at the entrance.
